Some New Projects To Share!

So I've been really productive lately (maybe all those hours at The Jungle?) and I finished up a lot of projects... yay!

Bitty Baby Bolero (supposed to be worn over a shirt)
Either a baby dress or a toddler shirt

Some 'boyfriend' hats for the boys. Karl has an all black one too but I couldn't find it for a pic...
And finally, the picot dress like the one I posted in blue a few posts back. I am actually really happy with how it turned out! It was a real pain in the butt at the end. I had messed up in 2 places and I had to fix that before I could do the edging. All in all, not bad!

ETA: No, I am not having any more children (at least for the forseeable future :) I have some wonderful friends having little girls and they're gifts for them!

Since We've Spent So Much Time At The Jungle Lately

I figured I should share some pictures I took from there....

I think Dillon's face pretty much says it all in this one. They were having a great time playing and making friends and they were both a little irritated I asked them to stop for a moment (Never mind we'd been there over 10 hours already that week!) and pose for a picture.

This one's at a funny angle, but Dillon looks SO old! I can't believe he's almost 4 already!

He'd gotten so many lollipops with his tickets the he wasn't licking them anymore, he would just eat them in a matter of minutes. I think he was worried if he didn't eat them fast, Cameron would get into them...

There aren't many pictures of Cam, he spent most of the time we were there in laser tag and I can't get pictures in there. Not that he lets me take any these days anyways!

Happiness is....

Having Cameron tell the lady at the Jungle that the 4 reciepts in his hand equal 192 and her trying to find her calculator for 5 minutes to confirm and the smile when he was right. :)

Listening to Dillon make up songs and sing about the most random things.

My husband walking in the door and giving me a great big hug, like he's been waiting all day to come home and see us.

Our New Favorite Park!

We found a new park! I love it because it has a lot of pretty advanced things that most the playgrounds around here don't have. It challenges both Cam and Dillon and keeps them pretty busy!

Two awesome videos for your enjoyment: Cam jumping off the big rock like on Man Vs. Wild and Dillon doing the monkey bars for the first time!

Just a bunch of random pics from this month...
So I wasn't feeling well yesterday (coming down with a cold) and I was being lazy on the couch. The kids brought out their tattoo kit and I was just horrified at the thought of getting up and doing tattoos. Karl jumped at the opportunity and here's the results:

Since the weather was beautiful for a few days, I was lucky enough to snap this great shot of Cam. He rarely will smile or pause for pictures, so this pic turning out so nice made me so happy! He is getting SO old!

This one's funny because Dillon suprised me in the morning by picking out his own outfit. This day was not beautiful like the day before, it was cold and wet. Anyhow, he picked out jean shorts (which I thought could match with anything..) along with a long sleeved grey and orange striped shirt that was inside out and backwards (hence the tag under his chin) and he topped it off with a way too big for him plaid overshirt that he dug out of the closet. He looks like a little orphan! I just had to get his little boy bruised shins and knobby knees. Cuteness!

Karl took this one... We didn't name Jack after the whiskey, (well, at least I didn't) The kids picked Jack because it was like Captain Jack Sparrow, I picked it short for Jack A** because he was one as a puppy, and I guess Karl named it after Jack Daniels. Funny how that all works out..

Cameron has quite an imagination lately....

and has convinced his best friend Erwin that we have a man named Jerry living in our basement, that comes and goes as he pleases ("What, you haven't seen him?") He has also convinced Dillon that their little brother Jimmy lives under our bed. He told him not to look or reach under there "Cause he's not nice- he bites."

A Little Pit Stop to Chilis

Karl wanted to go look at a super nice looking GMC Yukon that was for sale on Craigslist and since today was a yucky rainy day, we decided to make the 2 hour drive up to Santa Rosa. It was the best car ride I can remember having since Dillon was born. Now Cameron has always been a natural road trip kinda kid. Dillon on the other hand, never sleeps, and honestly doesn't like to stop moving for too long so he gets really restless. This trip today was awesome. They popped in the Batman movie on the way up and zoned out with their little headphones. Aaahh... peace and quiet!

After Karl saw the car he decided to pass for now because it had get this- over 350,000 miles! It was really clean and the price was right but he decided it was just too risky right now to take a car with that high mileage.

Anyway, on our way home we were sitting in traffic and decided that we should stop off to a sit down restaurant which is super rare because the kids usually make us nutty. We settled on Chilis which was quite a fight considering the kids desperately wanted Jack In The Box. We got in and got settled and had the nicest waitress ever. She asked Cam if anyone had ever told him he had beautiful eyes and he blushed (too cute!) She was super nice and friendly and it didn't come off as phony or anything. I don't know how to describe it, but she made you feel like you were old friends.

Towards the end of our meal we looked out and saw there was still a good bit of traffic so we decided to get a dessert to share since the kids were being soooo good. He asked the waitress if he could have a cherry on top and she brought him a whole cup! His eyes got so big and his grin was pure happiness. When she left he whispered in my ear "Mom, she's real pretty" I told him he should tell her that, it would make her happy. He got all bashful and shy and we finished up, paid and walked out. He told Cameron, "Wait, I didn't tell her she was pretty yet" So Cam took him back inside and Dillon told her. She got a huge smile, said thank you and asked if she could have a hug. She scooped him right up and give him a kiss on his cheek. He seriously smiled all the way to the car and half the way home! He walked off all super macho and cool too. Whenever we ask him about it now he just smiles and does his wiggly eyebrow thing, it's too funny.

Oh yea! I can't finish this post without the other funny thing he said at the restaurant. There was a huge guy there who was one of the waiters and Dillon kept staring at him. Finally he turned and looked at Karl and they had this conversation:
"Daddy, you need to get muscles like that guy"
"Oh yea?"
"Yep you do. When we get home, go in the basement and exercise k?"
Dillon thinks that you can't get muscles until you're a daddy btw.

Newest Project

I got a great book from my Grandma a few months back with the most adorable baby things you have ever seen! It's a Debbie Bliss book and it is amazing! I decided to make this dress, but in a super soft light pink. I hope it turns out as wonderful as the picture!

Yay!

I am thrilled to announce that congratulations are in order for my Dad, Bill and his girlfriend Penny! They're getting married!
I am so happy for you two! Whenever I see you together I see how much you care about each other. You guys are always smiling, and I love that you guys do so many fun things together. I know that you will be very happy, every time I see the two of you I can tell how much you love each other. Congrats!!
